Cloth hardcover 6x9” | Pages 192 | Fiction/Comedy US$ 19.95 / CDN$ 21.95 | ISBN 9781601640055
A wickedly funny satire of the exclusive world of the private golf club. Toonamint of Champions tells the hilarious tale of an obsessive bank teller from Mullet Luv, Georgia, and his redneck fiancée achieving a lifelong dream of teeing off at the Augusta National Golf Club. Toonamint of Champions, played out in a hugely satirical and surreal literary landscape, is the story of one man’s—perhaps every golfing man’s— unexplainable desire for tee time at the Augusta National, and the desire to be a member of such a place. Not just for golfers, this is a story that will appeal to anyone who loves to see the underdog win big and the powerful get their comeuppance.

SYNOPSIS
Todd Sentell pulls out all the stops in his hilarious spoof of the manners and mores of America’s most prestigious golf club, the Augusta National, home of The Masters. Writing with an insider’s knowledge — the author has written extensively on golf, both in fiction and as a columnist for Golf Georgia — Todd Sentell infuses Toonamint of Champions with the kind of outrageously real detail that you just know is too crazy to be made up. A cast of unforgettable characters, speaking a language only a true son of the south could pull off, reveal that behind the gates and the mystique of the fancy private golf clubs lurk some mighty influential freaks.
Toonamint of Champions, played out in a hugely satirical and surreal literary landscape, is the story of one man’s — perhaps every golfing man’s — unexplainable desire for tee time at the Augusta National, and the desire to be a member of such a place. Not just for golfers, this is a story that will appeal to anyone who loves to see the underdog win big and the powerful get their comeuppance.
